From a family that valued storytelling, Sam’s lyrics and songwriting process are shaped by poetry and exploring the human experience. He performs with joy and emotional catharsis, inviting audiences into a shared experience. Sam remains a compelling voice in American folk and bluegrass, blending tradition with contemporary insight.
Sam Carlson recently completed his debut album at DePoo Sound in Key West, with production and engineering by the talented Keith Banning. Through his music, Sam delves into themes of modernity, exploring feelings of discontent, the desire for travel, and the quest for truth in a world filled with confusion.
