M. Spogga Hashway was born in 1973 and was raised by his mother alongside five older brothers who greatly influenced his passion for music. From a young age, he began performing and eventually pursued his musical education at Berklee College of Music, where he focused on jazz and composition. Spogga has showcased his talents on Bourbon Street in New Orleans and has successfully released four solo albums. He actively collaborates with musicians from various genres and possesses a deep-seated passion for both composing and performing music.
Spogga’s latest album, ‘Sword & Shield,’ showcases a collection of powerful tracks including ‘Warrior,’ ‘Goodbye Radio,’ and ‘Sangria for Life.’ The album was crafted in part at a home studio in Treme, New Orleans, with the standout track ‘Sangria for Life’ being recorded in Key West. Spogga’s talent shines through in his drum programming, percussion, bass, keys, guitar, vocals, and songwriting. The album was expertly mastered by Nathan at Vault Mastering, ensuring a polished and professional sound.
